Abstract
ABSTRACT NOVIA GUSA. Correlation between Intelligence Quotient (IQ) with economics study result of the student at SMA Negeri 59 Jakarta Timur. Script, Jakarta: Economic Education Program, Concentration Educational Administration, Department of Economics and Administration, School of Economics, State University of Jakarta, 2012. This study aimed to determine whether there is a correlation between Intelligence Quotient (IQ) with economics study result of the student at SMA Negeri 59 Jakarta Timur. The study was conducted over two months from October to November 2012. The research method used is exposing facto method with secondary data and correlational approach. The population in this study were all students of SMAN 59 Jakarta Timur numbered 812 students. While affordable population in this study were students majoring in social studies class XI SMA 59 Jakarta Timur totaling 154 students. The number of samples taken from affordable population is 110 students by using proportional random (proportional random sampling). The instrument used to obtain the data variable X (IQ) and the variable Y (Learning Outcomes) in this study was measured using a Likert scale. Techniques of data analysis in this study begins with finding a simple regression equation and obtained the regression equation Y = 22,15+0,450 X, while the test requirements analysis, estimation error normality test regression Y on X obtained by test Liliefors Lcount (Lo )<Ltable (L t ) or 0,063<0,084, this means that the samples come from normally distributed populations. Significance of the regression test results F count >Ftable 52,81>3,91 were declared significant regression and the linearity of the regression test results Fcount <F table is 1,39<1,70 which shows that the linear regression. Correlation coefficient test the relationship between variables X and Y do with the formula of the Pearson product moment correlation which results r xy = 0,573, this means that the relationship between the two variables is quite strong. Significance test with tcount = 7,27 while t table = 1,67. Because t count >t table , it can be concluded that there is a significant correlation between Intelligence Quotient (IQ) with economics study result of the student at SMA Negeri 59 Jakarta Timur. KD Test yield coefficient of determination of 32,84%, it can be a decision that there is a positive and significant correlation between Intelligence Quotient (IQ) with economics study result of the student at SMA Negeri 59 Jakarta Timur.
