Abstract
ABSTRACT Teni Rahayu, The Effect of Foreign Direct Investment, Domestic Investment,and Import Evidence of Lower Middle Countries in ASEAN Year 2010-2015. Education economics, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, 2017. This research aims to know the influence of foreign direct investment, domestic investment and, import toward economic growth in lower middle income countries in ASEAN. Research methods used in this research is a panel data method of combining time series and cross section. Time series data used in this study is in 2010-2015 and cross section data used is 5 countries; Indonesia, Phillipines, Laos, Cambodia, Viet Nam. The data used is the annual data obtained from UNCTAD, The Global Economic and World Bank. This study used regression models with panel data known as random effect model. A linear regression equation model used in this study is y= 5,556319- 0,207752X1 +4,616824X2 + 0,057970X3. The results of the analysis of partially shows the negative effect of foreign direct investment, domestic investment and import is positively influential significant to economic growth in the lower middle income countries in ASEAN. Simultaneous analysis of results shown foreign direct investment, domestic investment and import together influential significantly against economic growth in lower middle income countries in ASEAN. Influence of variation of the three independent variables shown value R2 of 0.3870. These values shown 38% of the variation in economic growth is affected by foreign direct investment, domestic investment and import. While the rest is influenced by other factors outside the model of research. Key words: Economic growth, Foreign direct investment, domestic investment, import.
