Abstract

ANGGITA PRIDARA. The relationship between parenting style and child personality in the state vocational school 47 Jakarta. skripsi. jakarta. economic education study program,faculty of economics, state university of jakarta, 2016 This study aims to discover the relationship between parenting style and child personality in state vocational school 47 Jakarta based on valid and reliable facts and data. This study was conducted at the state vocational school 47 Jakarta. It uses the quantitative analysis methodology. The population includes 107 grade XI students from three classes of the Accounting studies of the state vocational school 47 Jakarta. The sample was taken using proportional random sampling technique, obtaining a sample of 84 students. The research instrument uses primary data with the Likert scale for the independent variables (parenting style) and dependent variables (child personality). The hypothesis was tested using the simple linear regression equation in order to discover whether there is a correlation between variable X and variable Y, obtaining Y= 81.30 + 0.41X. Test requirements was done with error estimation normality test Lhitung 0.05670 <Ltabel 0.096671. This shows that the data have a normal distribution. From the linear regression test, Fhitung -0.283 <Ftabel 1.67, it could be determined that regression model Y is a linear regression model. Coeficient Correlation rxy product moment 0.435 > 0 it is concluded that there is a positive correlation between parenting style and child personality. T test thitung 4.379 <ttabel 1.989 are significantly correlated. Coeficient determinant test obtained 19%, it can be concluded that child personality variables is determined by parenting style variables by 19%. There is a positive and significant relationship between parenting style and child personality on student state vocational school 47 Jakarta.
