Abstract

ABSTRACT ANNISA MAHARDHIKA PUTRI. The Relationships Of Education Expenditure and Economic Growth in Indonesia in 1972 - 2014. Cooperative Economic Education, Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, in 2016. This study aims to determine whether there is a two-way, one-way or no relationship between spending on education and economic growth in Indonesia. The research data used in this research is a form of time series of the year 1972 - 2014 is a year with the number of 43 samples. The analysis technique used is Autoregression Vector analysis approach. VAR approach used to detect mutual relationship or a dynamic two-way causality between the independent variables and the dependent variable in this study. The findings indicate a two-way relationship between education spending and economic growth. Therefore, the need to improve the education sector expenditures and an increase in economic growth in the next year in order to establish the quality of community resources that are reliable, which in turn will increase productivity and support economic growth.
