Abstract

ABSTRACT Ririn Sukmawati 8105110108. The Influence Of Interest Rate (Bi Rate) And Rupiah Exchange Rate Of Inflation In Indonesia. Jakarta: Concentration Education Cooperative Economics, Economics of Education Studies Program, Department of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, in 2015. Inflation problem is a problem that most often occurs in the economy of a country. Inflation is a general rise in prices and continuously. Inflation in Indonesia is caused by several factors: interest rate and the exchange rate. This study aims to determine the effect of the interest rate and the exchange rate to inflation in Indonesia by taking the data from Bank Indonesia. Bank Indonesia was chosen to be the object of study due to present a complete financial statement data that can be used in research. Based on F test can be concluded that the variable interest rate and the exchange rate simultaneously affect the inflation in Indonesia. As for the t-test can be concluded that the variable interest rates on long-term significant positive effect on inflation and long-term rupiah exchange rate is not significant positive effect on inflation. While the variable interest rates on short-term positive effect siignifikan against inflation and the exchange rate short-term positive effect on inflation is not significant in Indonesia. The coefficient of determination (R2) in the long term at 0.53, which means that three independent variables in the equation model is able to explain the value of the variable inflation of 53%. While in the short term by 0.51, which means that three independent variables in the equation model is able to explain the value of the variable inflation of 51% Keywords: Interest Rate, Exchange Rate, Inflation.
