Abstract

ABSTRACT SRI RAHAYU RETNO NINGTYAS. Relationship Between Social Support with Psychological Well-Being on Fire Fighter of Firefighter and Disaster Management Sector I Matraman, East Jakarta . Skripsi, Jakarta: Concentrations of Education Administrative Offices, Educational Studies Program in Economics, Department of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. 2012. This study aims to determine the closeness of the relationship between social support with psychological well-being in sub firefighters in Fire and Disaster Management Sector I Matraman, East Jakarta. The study was conducted over three months, starting from the month of March to June 2012. The method used is survey method with the correlational approach. The population of the study was a firefighter in the Agency Fire and Disaster Management Sector I Matraman, East Jakarta. The sampling technique used is the technique of random simple (simple random sampling) with a sample of 72 respondents. The instrument used to obtain the data variable X (Social Support) and the variable Y (Psychological WellBeing) in this study was measured using a Likert Scale. Techniques of data analysis in this study begins by looking for a simple regression equation and obtained the regression equation Y = 51.62 + 0.673 X, while the test requirements analysis is the normality test error of estimated regression Y on X obtained by test Liliefors Lhitung (0.081) <Ltabel (0.104), this means that the samples come from normally distributed population. Keberartian and linearity regression test using Analysis of Variance table (ANAVA)Fhitung obtained regression equation (25.89)> Ftabel (3.98) which express the regression means and regression linearity test result Fhitung (1.30) <Ftabel (1.76 ) which indicates that the regression model used is linear. Correlation coefficient hypothesis test the relationship between variables X and Y do with the formula of Pearson Product Moment generating rxy of 0.520; this means the relationship between two variables is strong. Test with a significance of 5.09 and a Ttable tcount of 1.67. Because tcount> TTable, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between social support with psychological well-being in sub firefighters in Fire and Disaster Management Sector I Matraman, East Jakarta. Coefficient of determination test result of 27.04% KD. It can be concluded that there is a significant and positive relationship between social support with psychological well-being.
