Abstract
ABSTRACT MAYA IRMAWATI. Influence Economic Growth And Education Level Of The Unemployment Rate In Banten Province. Faculty of Economics State University of Jakarta. 2014. This study aims to determine the influence of economic growth and the level of education on the unemployment rate in Banten Province, consists of four districts and two cities using data for six years ie from 2007-2012. Types of data used are secondary data and quantitative. Data collection as the sample ex post facto method using panel data which combines time series and cross section. Data are presented each year obtained from BPS (Central Bureau of Statistics). Data analysis method used is panel data. Random effect results obtained equation TPT = 8.838 to 1.145 1.426 Y + RS + e. Based on the result obtained by simultaneous is known that economic growth and the level of education significantly influence the unemployment rate in the Banten Province. Based on the result obtained by partially is known that economic growth is negative and significant effect on the unemployment rate in Banten Province and the level of education has a positive and significant effect on the unemployment rate in Banten Province. R2 value of 0,2793 indicates that 27,93% of unemployment rate in Banten Province can be explained by the two independent variables economic growth and education levels while the remaining 72,07% is influenced by other factors outside the research model.
