Abstract

ABSTRACT VIRGA SEPTIAN PUTRI. The Relationship Between Self Esteem With Self Confidence of Students in SMK Pelita Gedongtataan, Lampung. Scientific Paper, Jakarta : Study Program of Economic Education, Concentration of Office Administration Education, Economics and Administration Department, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. 2012. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between self esteem with self confidence of students in SMK Pelita Gedongtataan, Lampung. The study was conducted over two months from June to July 2012. The method used is survey method with the correlational approach. The study population was all of the students in SMK Pelita Gedongtataan, and affordable population of this study were students of the Administration perkantoran, amounting to 146 students. The sample used by 146 students by using a random proportion. Y variable data (Self Confidence) instruments used in the form questionnaire. Prior to use, made of construct validity (Construct Validity) through the validation process is the calculation of the correlation coefficient score points with the total score and reliability testing with Cronbach Alpha formula. The results of the reliability of the instrument variable Y (Self Confidence) of 0.826. While the data variable X (Self Esteem) instruments used form of the questionnaire was measured using a Likert scale. Test requirements analysis is performed by finding the regression equation obtained was Y = 49,73 + 0,492 X. The results of normality test error estimate of Y on X using the Lilliefors test and obtain Lo = 0.046 compared with L at significance level 0.05 is 0.073. Because Lo <Lt, then the variables X and Y are normally distributed. Testing the hypothesis by generating regression test significance F table count (56.19)> F (3.92) which means the regression equation is significant. F count table liniarity regression test result (1.03) <F (1.72) thus concluded that the linear regression equation. Test Product Moment correlation coefficient r xy table yield of 0.530. Significance test is then performed by using a correlation coefficient of the t-test, produce t count (7.49)> t (1.66). Besides, the coefficient of determination of 28.05%, this means that the self confidence table variable (Y) is determined by self esteem (X). The results showed a positive relationship exists between self esteem with self confidence of students in SMK Pelita Gedongtataan, Lampung.
