Abstract

ABSTRACT YOLIZA FITRA. Effect of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Government Expenditure Against Indonesian Economic Growth: Economics Educational Studies Program. Concentration of Economic and Cooperative Education. Department of Economics and Administration. Faculty of Economics. State University of Jakarta. 2013. This study aims to gain knowledge based on data and facts are eloquent, true and trustworthy. The research was conducted over 10 months from June 2012 to April 2013. The method used is the method of exposure facto approach to regression analysis. The sample in this research is secondary data quarterly period from 2001 to 2010 Indonesia. Data variable Y is Economic Growth, the data X1 and X2 PMA Government Spending, each of which is obtained from the Licensing Division of Banking Information Bank Indonesia (BI DPIP), Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Jakarta and the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Test requirements are used for the regression equation in order to obtain the equation Y = 5.3283 +0.2150 +0.021 X1 X2. Autocorrelation test results of 0.51, the probability of Obs * R Squared white test of 0.20 (greater than 5%), multicollinearity test to see Variance Inflation Factor (VIF) of less than 10, and the probability of normality test of Jarque Berra 0.538 (more than 5%). This suggests that the classical assumptions of the requirements of this important research. The results of this study concluded that there are significant between FDI to economic growth by 0.0021 but not significant, while the expenditure amounted to 0.2150 significant influence government on economic growth and simultaneously or jointly significant FDI and government spending affects economic growth. With the results obtained by calculating the coefficient of determination of 0.17. This means that 17% of Indonesia's economy can be explained by two variables.
