Abstract

Leni Diana.Correlation Between Student Participation in Extracurricular With Academic Achievement of Students in Department of Accounting of State Vocational Secondary School 42 Jakarta. Skripsi. Jakarta : Concentration in Accounting Education, Department of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economic, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2013. The purpose of this research is to get valid and reliable data about corelation between student participation in extracurricular with academic achievement. The data was collected from the survey method of 74 student of Department Accounting of State Vocational Secondary School 42 Jakarta consist of 2012/2013 class of Accounting 1 and 2. The a sampling using proportional random sampling technique. The survey was conducted by distributing questionnaires to a sample that has been determined. Score of student participation in extracurricular was obtained by questionnaires development with Likert scale.   Meanwhile student academic achievement is secondary data obtained from the students' second semester report cards. Research samples was taken as 58 students. Regression equation in this research is Ŷ=80,12+0,03x. From this equation test requirements analysis conducted by the normality test error estimate the regression of Y on X obtained by Liliefors Lhitung<Ltabel (0,0780<0,1163). It mean the data are normally distributed. On the meaningful of regressions test we got the result Fhitung (8,29) > Ftabel (4,02) which can be conclude that the regression model is means. As for the linierity test obtained Fhitung (0,53) < Ftabel (2,07) indicating that the regression equation is linear. The test results by using a correlation coefficient of Pearson product moment values obtained = 0,366. This means there is a positive relationship between student participation in extracurricular with academic achievement of students in Department of Accounting of State Vocational Secondary School 42 Jakarta. From the correlation meaningful test calculations t iv  hitung (2,94) > t (1,68). Indicating a significant relationship between student participation in extracurricular with academic achievement. From the calculation results obtained 13,36% coefficient of determination so that it can be said that the student participation in extracurricular has contribution on academic achievement as 13,36%.
