Abstract

ABSTRACT ESTI Purwanti. The Influence of Human Capital and Foreign Direct Investment On Economic Growth in Indonesia Period 2004 - 2010. Education of Cooperative Economics, Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, 2013. This study aims to determine whether human capital and foreign investment have an influence on economic growth in Indonesia. The method that is used in this research is form in time series of the period 2004 - 2010 and cross section amounted to 24 provinces in Indonesia. Particular the 2006 – 2010 period with the ex post facto method. This research uses quantitative secondary datas. Data is presented each year obtained from the BPS (Badan Pusat Statistik). Result of this research shows that: in simultan human capital and foreign investment have significant positive influence on economic growth in Indonesia. With the regression equation LnPDRB = 24.25424 + 0.099770 MM + 0.002226 LnPMA, it has the meaning that if there is an increase in human capital by one percent would lead to economic growth increased by 0.0997 percent, and if there is an increase in foreign investment of one million dollars will lead to economic growth increased by 0.0022 percent. R2 value of 0.9997 indicate that 99.9% economic growth in Indonesia can be explained by independent variabels (human capital and foreign investment).
