Abstract
ABSTRACT IIS ISTIQAMAH. The Influence Of Economic Growth Rate Toward Unemployment and Poverty Rate in DKI Jakarta. Cooperation Economic Education, Economic and Administration, Faculty of Economic, State University of Jakarta. 2012. This research is to determine whether the influence of economic growth on decreasing poverty and unemployment rate in DKI Jakarta. This research used facto exposure by analyzing the events that occur from previous years in order to determine the factors affecting unemployment and poverty. Types of the data used in this research is secondary and quantitative data that are available in numerical form. The data used is the data sequential/historical (time series) from 2003 until 2010 and the cross series data (cross section) of the six regions in DKI Jakarta. This data was collected per year that gathered from Badan Pusat Statistik. The results of the data analysis indicate that: (a) economic growth has a significant negative effect on the unemployment rate in DKI Jakarta. With the regression equation Y1 = 13,21091–0,096372X. This means, as economic growth increase of one percent, as it will lower the unemployment rate of 0.096372 percent of DKI Jakarta. (b) economic growth has a significant negative effect on the poverty rate in DKI Jakarta. With the regression equation Y2 = 6,017750–0,052567X. This means, as economic growth increase of one percent, it will decrease the poverty rate in Jakarta is at 0.052567 percent. Keywords: Unemployment Rate, Poverty Rate, Economic Growth
