Abstract
ABSTRACT RACHMAWATI SEPTIANINGSIH. The script Jakarta. The Influence of Total Population and Investment to Economic Growth in Central Java. Economics Education Studies Program, Concentration on Economic Education Cooperative, Economics and Administration Department, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, January 2013. The purpose of writing this thesis is intended to investigate the influence of variables total population and investment to economic growth in Central Java in partial or simultan . This study was carried out by regarding to the development of the total population, investment and economic growth in Central Java, particularly during the period of 2006-2010 with the method of ex post de facto. Type of data used, that is; the data time series and cross section, with secondary data published by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). And in data processing, it is used SPSS 19.0. The amount of influence between the number of total population growth and economic growth 0.158. This means that the influence of the number of total population growth is weak and direction. The influence between investment growth 0.768. This means that the effect between investment and economic growth is strong and direct. From the F test, the effect of total population and investment to economic growth, Fis counted for about 139, while the F table is equal to 3.05 then F calculated> F table. It means that there is an influence total population and investment to economic growth. R2 value which is obtained is equal to 0.618. It means that the variable number of total population and the investment, it can explain the economic growth variable for about 61.8%. Meanwhile, the rest is explained by other variables. The regression equation which is obtained is = 460,732.315 0.61 + 0.725 X1 + X2. Based on the classic assumption test, namely heterokesdastisitas test; test multicollinearity, and autocorrelation test is used then the data already is BLUE, so that the calculation results achieved are not biased.
