Abstract

ANGGIE HARYANI, The Correlation Between The Role Of Family With Interest In Reading At Students of State Vocational High School 48 of Jakarta. A Skripsi, Jakarta. Study Program Of Commerce Education, Departement of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, 2011. This study aimed at obtaining empirical data and facts which are authentic,valid, and reliable on The Correlation Between The Role Of Family With Interest In Reading At Students of State Vocational High School 48 of Jakarta. This research was conducted at State Vocational High School 48 Of Jakarta, for five months, from February to June 2012. The method used was survey method with the correlational approach. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling. The population in this study was students of State Vocational High School 48 Of Jakarta, whereas the possible populations are students of Class X of Marketing about 60 students. The tchnique which used in gathering the sample was simple random sampling about 51 students. Analysis of condition test, which is normality error test for regression approximates of X on Y with lilifors test, result in Lcount = 0.081, while L table is 0.124, because L count < L table then the normality error test of Y on X distributed normal.the resulting regression equation is Ŷ = 50,92 + 0.607X. Significance regression results in Fcount > Ftable is 19,90 > 4,04, it is mean that the regression equation is significance. Testing linearity of regression produces F count < F table is 1,88 < 2,07, thus concluded that the equation is linear. Results of hypothesis test which pearson product momenth shows that rxy = 0.537. Continued by using correlations coefficient significance test with t-test. Counting result was, tcount = 4,46 while ttable = 1,67 and so, tcount > ttable. 7,047 > ttable=1.70. it can be concluded that the correlation coefficient rxy = 0.537 is significance. The coefficient of determination was 28,88% which indicated that variation of Interest In Reasing is determined by The Role Of Family and 71,12% determinated other factor.
