Abstract
ABSTRACT Herlien Leviana Oktaviani, 2012; The Influence of Inventory Turnover in Days, Receivable Turnover in Days, and Payable Turnover in Days on Profitability of Consumer Goods Industries, in 2005 – 2010. Skripsi, Jakarta: Concentration of Financial Management, Study Program of Management, Department of Management, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. Basically, a company was built with the goal of raising its value so that in the end it can profit the owner or stockholders. So, to achieve the goal, a company have to obtain as much profit as it could. The aim of this research is to analyze the effect of inventory turnover in days, receivable turnover in days, and payable turnover in days to Return on Assets (ROA) of consumer good industry in Indonesia. The population of this research is all of the company of consumer good industry which listed on Indonesian Stock Exchange from 2005 to 2010. Purposive sampling method were used as samples determining method and 30 companies selected as the sample of this research. The analysis method is panel regression to find out the effect of independent variables on the ROA as profitability. Based on the result of t test, inventory turnover in days have positive insignificant effect to profitability, while receivable turnover in days have negative significant effect and payable turnover in days have positive significant effect to profitability. The result of the research simultanly using F test, shows that all of the independent variables have significant effect to ROA. So, only receivable turnover in days and payable turnover in days that have significant effect to profitability rate of consumer good industry which listed in BEI from 2005 to 2010.
