Abstract

The reason of choosing this topic is the effectiveness problems which often occur in various institutions (governmental and private). The purpose of this paper is to obtain knowledge about capital budgeting system and its realisation effectiveness. The researched data is capital budget of PT United Tractors Tbk in 2011. Because the budget has just been realised, that it is still accurate and relevant. The used method is analytical description with primary and secondary data. In practice, capital budgeting is not created using mathematical consideration, but the more of policies between the head and branches. Capital budgeting may be flexible following the conditions faced by corporation. Effectiveness in realisation is not sufficient to reveal in numbers, because there are substances following effectiveness which is difficult to measure.
