Abstract

ABSTACT RIZKA ARDIANI GASALBA.Influence of Perceptions Regarding the Public Accounting Profession, Motivation, and Knowladge of Law No. 5 In 2011 towards Careers Interests Being Public Accountant (Study Case on Student Strata─I Study Program of Accounting Department of Economics, University of Jakarta). This study aimed to describe the perceptions regarding the public accounting profession, motivation, knowladge of law no. 5 on 2011, Careers Interests Being Public Accountant and examine the influence of the perceptions regarding the public accounting profession, motivation, knowladge of law no. 5 on 2011 towards Careers Interests Being Public Accountant. The analysis of this research is using primary data by distributing questionnaries to survey respondent. This study was conducted to student majoring in accounting reguler and non reguler class 2012 Universitas Negeri Jakarta. then the questionnarie data is processed by performing quantitative analysis using SPSS 21 program. Test conducted consisting of descriptive statistics, data quality testing, test requirements analysis, classic assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, the coefficient of determination. The results of quantitative analysis descriptif statistics show that: a) Students courses S1 Accounting has perceptions regarding the public accounting profession is quite high, b) the motivation of the students of S1 Accounting has been good, and c) knowledge of Law No. 5 Year 2011 which is owned by a student of S1 Accounting enough. Then the results of the multiple linear regression analysis showed that the perceptions regarding the public accounting profession and motivation significantly influence career interests into Public Accountant while knowledge of Law No. 5 The year 2011 did not have an influence on career interests being Public Accountants on Accounting S1 student of the State University of Jakarta.
