Abstract
Rimona Larassati. 2012. The Influence of Size, Growth and Complexity On internal control weakness in the Provincial Government of Indonesia in 2009-2010. The purpose of this study was to test the influence of government size, growth and complexity of internal control weakness of the provincial government in Indonesia in 2009-2010. Provincial government size is measured using total assets of local government, the growth is measured using rate of GDP Regional, the complexity is measured using the total population and revenue of local government (PAD), while the internal control weakness measured by the number of cases the findings of internal control weaknesses. The study was conducted using secondary data, namely the use of local government financial reports, BPS data and IHPS BPK. The samples used were 26 provincial governments in period 2009-2010. Tests were conducted using multiple regression analysis. The results showed that growth doesn’t have significant partial effect on internal control weaknesses. While the size of government, population and the PAD is have partially significant effect on the internal control weaknesses. Other results show that the size of government, growth and complexity have simultaneous significant effect on the internal control of the provincial government in Indonesia in the period 2009-2010.
