Abstract

DEDY PRASETYO, The Correlation Between Parenting Style With Self Concept On Students At SMK PGRI 1 Jakarta. Thesis. Jakarta: Majoring Of Commerce Education Studies Program, Department of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. 2011. This study aims to determine whether there is a positive the correlation between parenting style with self-concept at SMK PGRI 1 Jakarta. The study was conducted over three months from October to December 2011. The research method used is survey method with the correlational approach. The population of the study were all students SMK PGRI 1 Jakarta. While the inaccessibility of the population is the entire class XII Marketing totaling 37 people. Of the total population sampled 32 people. The sampling was based on the determination of the number of tables from a given population sample with an error rate of 5%. The sampling technique in this study is simple random technique (Simple Random Sampling). From the calculation results obtained by simple linear regression equation Ŷ= 11.28 + 0.62X. Test requirements analysis to test the normality of the error of estimated regression of Y on X shows that the estimated error of regression of Y on X is normally distributed. This is evidenced by calculations showing that Lhitung (0.1217) < Ltabel (0.1566) using a test liliofers at significant level (α) = 0.05. In hypothesis testing, regression testing keberartian and linearity using the table Analysis of Variance (ANAVA). From the test results obtained regression keberartian Fhitung (10.21) > Ftabel (4.17) stating the regression means. And the linearity of the regression test results obtained Fhitung (1.34) < Ftabel (2.34) which states that the model used is linear regression. The correlation coefficient is calculated using the formula Product Moment generating rxy 0.504 for significance while the test results obtained for and ttable thitung for. In because thitung 3.195 > 1.70 ttable it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between parenting style with self-concept SMK PGRI 1 remaining in Jakarta 25.38%. Calculation of coefficient of determination shows the variation in Y is determined by the variable X. The conclusion of this study is that there is a positive relationship between of parenting style with students' self-concept at SMK PGRI 1 Jakarta.
