Abstract

DWI RAHAYU FEBRIANI. The Correlation Between Work Ethic with Employee Performance at Food Security Agency in Ministry of Agriculture. Essay, Jakarta. Commerce Education Studies Program, Department of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, January 2014. The research was conducted at the Ministry of Agriculture, for four months from September 2013 until December 2013. This study aims to determine the relationship of Work Ethic with Employee Performance at Food Security Agency in Ministry of Agriculture. The research method used is survey method with the correlational approach. The population in this research is a employee of food security agency in ministry of agriculture. Where as the possible populations is employee in centers and availability of food insecurity which amounts to 61 people. The sampling technique used was simple random tehcnique as many as 55 by isaac michael table with an error level of 5%. The resulting regression equation is Ŷ = 41.60 – 0.30 X. Test requirements analysis of the normality test error of estimated regression of Y on X to produce Lcount liliefors test =0.0830, while the Ltable for n = 55 at 0.05 significant level is 0.1195 Because the Lcount < Ltable then an error estimate of Y on X is normally distributed. Testing linearity of regression produces Fcalculated < Ftable is 1.62<1.90, so it was concluded that the linear equation regresi. From test significance regression produces Fcount > Ftable, which is 16.61 > 4.02 Meaning that the regression equation is significant. Correlation coefficient of Pearson Product moment genearating rxy = 0.488, then performed the test significance correlation coefficient using the t test and the resulting tcount = 4.076 and ttable = 1.68. It can be concluded that the correlation coefficient rxy =0.488 is significant. The coefficient of determination obtained for 23.86 % which shows that 23.86 % of the variation of Employee performance is determined by Work Ethic.
