Abstract
FAKHRI YASHER . The Effect of Financial Development and Trade Openness to Economic Growth in ASEAN. State University of Jakarta. 2018 Economic growth is a part of economic development indicator which can illustrate an impact of the development policy being implemented. Financial sector is one of the important sector in the economy. This research will analyze the effect of financial development which consists of 3 indicators namely (capital bank assets ratio ,credit to private sector, dan broad money) and trade openness to economic growth in ASEAN. Trade openness will be analyzed too in this research, because considered can improve economic growth in the globalization era. This research use panel data analysis with 7 cross section data, Indonesia, Singapura, Malaysia, Thailand, Philipina, Vietnam, Kamboja and the time series data is from 2010 until 2016. Based on the results of research both partially and simultaneously is financial development which consists of 3 indicators namely (capital bank assets ratio ,credit to private sector, dan broad money) and trade openness have a positive and significant effect on economic growth in ASEAN.
