Abstract

ROCHANA ROSMALA. Factor-Fakctor Analysis Affecting Money Demand in Indonesia Period 2001-2015 with Error Correction Model Approach (ECM), concentration of Cooperative Economic Education, Economics and Administration Study Program, Faculty of Economics, Jakarta State University, 2017. This study aims to know the effect of inflation, pdb and interest rates on money demand in Indonesia. This research uses the method of Error Correction Model. Based on the results of data analysis showed that the estimation results in the short term inflation variable has a positive and significant impact on money demand. So a 1% inflation change will cause a change in money demand by 0.2504%. The interest rate variable has a negative and insignificant effect on money demand. Similarly, the GDP variable also has no significant effect on money demand. In the long run, the inflation variable has a positive and significant impact on money demand. Changes that occur in the variable inflation of 1% will lead to an increase in demand for money of 0,3276%. The interest rate variable has a negative and significant effect where any change of interest rate of 1% will impact the change of money demand by 2,8632%. And for GDP variables have a significant effect also on money demand, where every change of GDP by 1% will also impact on demand for money by1,4285%.
