Abstract

KRISTINE MARSELINA H. The Influence Of Budget Deficit And Money Supply On Inflation In Indonesia From 2001.1 To 2017.4. Economic Education, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, 2019. This study aims to identify problem solving to deal with the phenomenon of inflation whether by fiscal policy (budget deficit) or monetary policy (money supply). The basis of this research is to identify that inflation in Indonesia occurs not only from monetary factors but also from other factors, namely from fiscal factors. This study uses Error Correction Model and Ordinary Least Square used as a method to determine the long-term and short-term relationships and the significance of the influence between the variables studied. In this study, the results show that there is a partial significance between the independent variables (budget deficit and money supply) to the dependent variable (inflation) of 0.0000 and simultaneously at 0.0000. Then there is the long-term relationship of the independent variable to the dependent variable on the order level whereas for the short-term relationship there is a short-term relationship between the budget deficit to inflation but there is no short-term relationship between the variable money supply and inflation in Indonesia.
