Abstract
AISYAH HARIRI. Analysing The Effect of Austerity on Economic Growth In Indonesia 2010-2017. Department of Economic Education, Faculty Of Economic, State University Of Jakarta, 2019 This study aims to determine the effect of tax revenues and government expenditure as an austerity mechanism on economic growth in Indonesia. The background of this research is the condition of the state budget (APBN) which has a negative primary balance and a high percentage of the budget deficit on gross domestic product. Then this study uses Autoregessive Distributed Lags (ARDL) model to find out the dynamic relationships in the short and long term and the significance of the variables studied. In this study, some results were obtained, that there is a significant relationship between tax revenue and government expenditure together on economic growth both short and long run with a significance of 0.0000. Then, there is a significant relationship between government expenditure (saving instrument) on economic growth both short run with a significance of 0.0004 and a coefficient of 0.09 and long run with a significance of 0.0001 and a coefficient of - 1.02. However, there is no significant effect on tax revenue on economic growth both short and long term. Keywords : Austerity, Tax Revenues, Government Expenditure, Economic Growth
