Abstract

RANITA SARASWATI. Correlation Between Democratic Parenting Style with Autonomy on Students Grade XI SMK Negeri 51 Jakarta. Thesis, Jakarta: Study Program of Commerce Education, Department of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. 2015. This study aims to determine the correlation between Democratic Parenting Style with Autonomy on student grade XI SMK Negeri 51 Jakarta. This research was conducted from March until June 2015. The method used is survey method through correlation approach. The study population was all students of SMK Negeri 51 Jakarta. The sampling technique is random sampling of 51 samples. The instrument used to obtain data on variable X Democratic Parenting Style and variable Y Autonomy was measured using a Likert scale. The data analysis technique starts by looking for a simple regression equation and the regression equation Ŷ = 45,77 + 0,75 X, while the test requirements of the analysis are the estimated regression error normality test Y on X with L obtained liliefors test count (0,0461) < Ltable (0,1240) , this means that samples come from normally distributed population. Test of significance and linear regression by using the table Analysis of Variance (ANAVA) test was obtained regression equation (37,03) > Ftable (4,04) which states that the regression is very significant and regressions that produce linearity test Fcount (0,79) < Ftable (2,20) which indicates that the model uses linear regression. Correlation coefficient hypothesis tests conducted using the formula rxy Product Moment yield of 0,653. Tests of significance with tcount equal to 6,036 and ttable value of 1,680. Because t count > t table, from the above study, the researcher can conclude that there is a significant correlation between the Democratic Parenting Style with Autonomy on Students Grade XI SMK Negeri 51 Jakarta. Test determination coefficient KD of 42,64% yield This means that the variation of variable Y influenced by variable X amounted to 57,36%. So it is concluded that there are positive and significant correlation between the Democratic Parenting Style and Autonomy.
