Abstract
NI NYOMAN SOKAWATI. The Effect of Foreign Direct Investment and Labor on Economic Growth in the Manufacturing Industry Sector in Indonesia in 2011 - 2017. Economic Education, Faculty of Economics, Jakarta State University, 2019. His study aims to determine the effect of foreign investment and of economic growth in the manufacturing industry sector in Indonesia. Retrieval of data in this study is to use time series data with the time span used in 2011-2017 in quarterly. The data was obtained from several sources, namely the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) (for quarterly direct foreign investment variables) and the Central Statistics Agency (for labor and economic growth variables). Then this study uses Multiple Linear Regression to determine the dynamic relationship and significance of the variables studied. In this study, some results were obtained, namely there is a significant relationship between foreign direct investment and labor together on the economic growth of the manufacturing industry sector with a significance of 0.0000. Then there is a significant relationship between foreign direct investment on economic growth with a significance of 0.8813 and there is a significant effect on labor towards economic growth with a significance of 0.0000.
