Abstract

STEFANI LINAWATI. Analysis of the Factors Affecting the Middle School Enrollment Rate in Indonesia. Economic Education, Faculty of Economic, State University of Jakarta, 2019. This study aims to determine the effect of Fiscal Decentralization, Government Expenditures on Education, GRDP per Capita, Student Ratio per Teacher and Number of Teachers to High School Gross Enrollment Rates in Indonesia. The type of data uses secondary data on regional original income, total regional income, the ratio of government expenditure on education to total government expenditure, number of students, number of teachers, and gross enrollment rates. The data analysis technique uses panel data regression analysis. The results showed that government expenditures on education, student per teacher ratio and the number of teachers had a significant positive effect on middle school gross enrollment rate in Indonesia. Meanwhile, fiscal decentralization and per capita GRDP have a negative and not significant effect on middle school Gross Enrollment Rate in Indonesia.
