Abstract

This study is a scientific research raised a phenomenon of economic growth in some countries in the ASEAN region, taking into account the economic variables and political variables. Based on the object under study are 5 countries in the ASEAN region that have a growing economic growth rate consisting of Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines. This study uses panel data 5 countries for 10 years from 2009 to 2018 by using multiple linear analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate the negative effect of the corruption perception index variable on economic growth, and the positive effect of the government expenditure variable and tax revenue on economic growth.
