Abstract
DODY SETIAWAN, Competitiveness and Determinant Analysis of Cocoa Butter Export from Indonesia. Economics Education, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2020. The need for cocoa butter in the world continues to increase. Cacao butter exporter. The purpose of this study was to analyze the competitiveness and determinants of Indonesia's cocoa butter export volume. Competitiveness analysis uses the RCA, RSCA, and ISP methods. The analysis of the determinants of butter cocoa exports uses the gravity model method. The type of data used is panel data of ten main destination countries from 2001 to 2018. The results showed that Indonesian cocoa was quite competitive in the world market and 10 countries were selected. While the analysis of determinants of cocoa butter exports shows that the variables that affect the volume of cocoa butter exports are the export duty of cocoa beans and the real GDP per capita of the destination country. While the relative price and distance variables are not significant. Based on these findings, the implication of this study is that business people can improve the quality of their products, also give attention to countries with high demand for cocoa butter and have high real GDP per capita. In addition, the government must reconsider the Gernas Cocoa sustainability program, where the payment program is excluded from the cocoa bean export duty.
