Abstract
MARGARETHA ESTIANA, The Effect of Motivation, Destination Image, and Sensation-seeking Towards The Intention to Visit Belitung Island. Thesis, Jakarta, Study Program of Commerce Education, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of motivation, destination image and sensation-seeking on the intention to visit Belitung Island partially, on employees who work around Jend. Sudirman, Gatot Subroto, MH. Thamrin, and Rasuna Said for eight months from November 2016 to July 2017.The research method used survey method with quantitative approach, with purposive sampling as many as 240 employees. The results of the study have shown that motivation, destination image and sensation-seeking variables significantly influence on the intention to visit Belitung Island, with regression equation Ŷ = 36,732 + 0.753X1 for the motivation variable, Ŷ = 52,298 + 0.461X2 for the destination image variable, Ŷ = 50,841 + 0.556X3 for the sensation-seeking variable. Testing analysis by Kolmogorov Smirnov test with the test results can be known Asymp value. Sig intention on Belitung Island (Y) is 0.109, Asymp value. Sig motivation (X1) of 0.165, Asymp value. Sig destination image (X2) of 0.188 and Asymp value. Sig. sensation-seeking (X3) of 0.232. The result has a significance greater than 0.05 then the data is inferred normal distribution. Classic test using multicollinearity test and heteroscedasticity test showed no multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity problem, so it can be classified as a good and ideal regression equation. Then t test and tcount 12,970> ttable 1,96 for motivation (X1), 10,195 > ttable 1,96 for destination image (X2), and 10, 295 > ttable 1,96 for sensation-seeking (X3). Thus, it can be concluded the result of t test calculation there is a positive and significant effect between motivation, destination image and sensation-seeking towards the intention to visit Belitung Island. The coefficient of determination increased by 41,4% for motivation, 30,4% for destination image and 30,8% for sensation seeking, it shows that Belitung Island affection variable is determined by motivation, destination image and sensation seeking on things that have been determined.
