Abstract
ABSTRACT ADINDA NURUL FAJRIAN. The Influence Of Contextual Teaching and Learning Approach to Communication Academic Achievement on Student Office Administration Program at SMKN 31 Jakarta. Scientific Paper, Jakarta: Concentration of Office Administration Study Program of Economics Education, Department Economics Administration, Faculty of Economic, State University of Jakarta, January 2013. The purpose of this research is to find out empirically whether there is a difference of student’s achievement between students who get contextual teaching and learning approach with students who get conventional approach. Based on the theories, concepts, and thinking framework exist, it could be formulated the hypothesis of research which claim that there is a difference achievement in studying Communication between students who get contextual teaching and learning approach with students who get conventional approach. This research is conducted at SMKN 31 Jakarta on anomalous semester of 2012/2013 year school since 30th of July until 4 th of September 2012. The method that used in this research was quasi experiment, with two classes being it sample 65 students’s respectively. The samples were taken by using proportional random sampling technique. The research instruments used was multiple choice and essay test which number of question are 25 with 3 times learning process. The data existed being analyzed by using t-test on significance of 0.05. from the result of analysis conducted, that t count was 8.20 while t table on significance of 0.05 with unimpeded (free) degree [dk] 63 was 2.00. It means that t count is bigger than t table so that t count was significant to deny Ho on significance of 0.05. The result of this research concluded that the average of achievement in studying Communication with Contextual Teaching and Learning Approach (X = 80.41) is higher than Conventional Approach (X = 72.70).
