Abstract

ABSTRACT WILMA RAISHA. The Relationship Between Emotional Intelligence With Work Family Conflict OPn Nurses At Rumah Sakit Islam Jakarta Cempaka Putih . Skripsi, Jakarta: Economics Education Studies Program. Concentrations of Education Administrative Office. Department of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, 2013. This research conducted to get a valid and reliable data or fact, to know the relationship between emotional intelligence with work family conflict in a married female nurses at Rumah Sakit Islam Cempaka Putih. This research has been done for three months since December until February 2013. The method of research is survey method with correlation approach. The populations research was all of female nurses with total 382 enurses, and the target populations were married female nurses with total 143 employees with 100 married female nurses as sample. Samples were taken using simple random sampling. For collecting between 2 variabel of this research, instrument used for variable X (Emotional Intelligence) and Y (Work Family Conflict) with a Likert Scale. Variable X (Emotional Intelligence) instrument was measured by Wong-Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS) developed by Wong and Law. And for this research the reliability was 0,924. While variable Y (Work Family Conflict) was measured by using a questionnaire with a reliability of 0.827. The analysis test by finding regression equation, that is Y= 74,24-0,584X. Aftrer that data normality test by using Lilliefoers formula and the result is Lcount = 0,065 , while Ltable for n = 100 in significance level 0.05 is = 0,089. Throgh Lcount < Ltable, so regression X and Y has normal distribution. The regression significance test and the result is, Fcount (39,94) > Ftable (3,91). Showing that, it has significance regression. While regression linearity test Fcount (0,89) < Ftable (1,67), showing that regression is linear. The result of Product Moment of correlation coefficient test r count = 0,538 continued by using correlation coefficient test with t-test. Counting Result is, tcount = (-6,32) while ttable = (1,66) and so, -tcount < ttable. It means that there are significance and negative correlation between emotional intelligence and work family conflict. The results of these research concluded that there is a negative relationship between emotional intelligence with work family conflict of married female nurses. With a coefficient of determination or test results obtained by deter mining 28,96% of work family conflict (Y) is determined by emotional intelligence(X)
