Abstract

DIAN YUNITA. The Influence of Compensation and Work Environment to Work Satisfaction of Private Vocational High School Teacher in Kembangan Subdistrict, West Jakarta. Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, 2017 The aims of this research is to determine the influence of compensation and work environment to work satisfaction of private vocational high school teacher in Kembangan Subdistrict, West Jakarta. based on data and facts are valid and reliable. The method used was survey method with quantitative approach. The data collecting that has been used was questionnaire. The population in this researh are the techers of private vocational highs school in Kembangan, West Jakarta. The affordable population in this study were teachers of SMK Al-Ihsan, SMK Bina Insan Mandiri and SMK Satria which amount to 128 teachers. The sampling technique using proportionate stratified random sampling to obtain a sample of 96 teachers. All variables in this researh are the primary data obtained through questionnaires. Data analysis technique used is test requirement analysis, classical assumption test, partial correlation coefficient analysis, multiple linear regression consist of regression equation, multiple correlation coefficient analysis, T test, F test and coefficient of determination analysis (R ). Based on the results of data analysis known that there was a partial effect between compensation and job satisfaction. Can be seen from the results of data analysis showing the value of t count of 2.117 > t table of 1.985. Work environment also has an influence on job satisfaction partially, it is seen from the results of data analysis showing the value of t count of 7.187 > t table of 1.985. There is influence between compensation and work environment to job satisfaction of teacher simultaneously. The result of data analysis shows the value of Fcount equal to 30,014> Ftabel equal to 3,09. There is a positive influence between compensation and work environment on job satisfaction with multiple correlation coefficient 0,626 hence, the hypothesies of this researh accepted, then known coefficient of determination (R 2 ) equal to 39,2%. Therefore, compensation and work environment teachers needs to be paid attention to in order to increase teacher job satisfaction.
