Abstract

ABSTRACT MELANI SAFITRI. The Relationship Between Self Efficacy With Entrepreneurial Intention on Student in Faculty of Economics State University of Jakarta. Scientific Paper, Jakarta : Study Program of Economic Education, Concentration of Office Administration Education, Economics and Administration Department, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. 2011. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between self efficacy with entrepreneurial Intention on student in Faculty of Economics State University of Jakarta. The study was conducted over five months from May to September 2011. The research method used is survey method with the correlational approach. The study population was all students of Faculty Economics State University of Jakarta, and affordable population of this study is a class Study Program of Economic Education that consist Concentration of Office Administration Education, Cooperation Economics Education, and Accounting Education of 2008 which amounts to 160 students. The sample used as many as 110 students by using proportional random technique. Data variable Y (entrepreneurial intention) questionnaire-shaped instrument used. Prior to use, tested the validity of construct (Construct Validity) through the validation process of calculating the correlation coefficient score points with a total score and reliability testing with Alpha Cronbach. The results of the reliability of the instrument variable Y (Entrepreneurial Intention) of 0.874. While the data variable X (Self Efficacy) instrument used was a replica of New General Self Efficacy (NGSE) of researchers Gilad, Chen, et.al., with internal consistency reliability of a = 0.86 and was measured using a Likert scale. The analysis test by finding regression equation, that is Y = 17,87 + 1,548X. After that, data normality test by using Lilliefors formula and the result was L = 0,070 in significance level 0,05 and L table = 0,084. so L count < L table count , mean that the mistake of prediction regression Y to X has normal distribution. For regression significance test and the result was, F count (47,87) > F regression was significance. While regression linearity test, F table (3,91), showing that count (1,82), showing that regression was linear. The result of product moment of correlations coefficient test was r Xy = 0,457 continued by using correlations coefficient significance test with t-test. Counting result was, t (1,67) and so t count > t table count . It means that there were significance and positive correlations between self efficacy with entrepreneurial intention. Beside that, the result of determination coefficient test was 30,71%, it means that entrepreneurial intention variable determined by 30,71% self efficacy variable. The conclusion of the research has shown that there was a positive correlations between self efficacy with entrepreneurial intention Faculty Economics State University of Jakarta.
