Abstract

KARIYMA FITHRI DAROJAH. The Relationship between Self-Efficacy and Goal Orientation with Cheating Behavior of Students of Class XI Accounting in Vocational High School of Tirta Sari Surya Academic Year 2016/2017. Thesis. Jakarta. Study Program of Economics Education, Consentration in Accounting Education, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, 2017. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and goal orientation with cheating behavior of students of class XI Accounting in Vocational High School of Tirta Sari Surya by using valid and reliable empirical data. This research conducted at Vocational High School of Tirta Sari Surya. The research method used is survey method with correlational approach. Affordable population in this research were students of class XI Accounting consisting of two classes amounted to 89 students and with Simple Random Sampling technique obtained a sample of 72 students. Data collection is using Likert-scale-form research instrument for self efficacy (X 1 iv ), goal orientation (X 2 ), and cheating behavior (Y). The result showed that: a) There is a significant relationship between self efficacy and goal orientation with cheating behavior of students of class XI Accounting in Vocational High School of Tirta Sari Surya that is equal to 0,773; b) There is a negative and significant correlation between self efficacy with cheating behavior of students of class XI Accounting in Vocational High School of Tirta Sari Surya that is equal to -0,534; c) There is a positive and significant correlation between goal orientation with cheating behavior of students class XI Accounting in Vocational High School of Tirta Sari Surya that is equal to 0,730. And the results obtained that self efficacy and goal orientation can determine student's cheating behavior by 59,7%.
