Abstract
ABSTRACT DONNA WIBIANANDA SURYAMAN. Interaction between Labor Market Efficiency with Business Sophistication in Dynamics Global Competitiveness in Southeast Asia in 2008-2015. Cooperative Economics Education, Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, 2016. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between labor market efficiency with business sophistication in cross-country and across the year. The method used in this study is in the form of time series of the year 2008 until 2015 and the cross section amounts to 7 countries in Southeast Asia such as Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam. Data were obtained from the Global Competitiveness Index Report issued by the World Economic Forum in 2008 until 2015. This study used descriptive statistics, correlation test and test Manova. Based on the simultaneous analysis that the average labor market efficiency is greater than the busniess sophistication. Based on the analysis of correlation of 0.53 variation of labor market efficiency with the busniess sophisticationhas a strong relationship. Based on the results of the analysis via MANOVA that the efficiency of the labor market efficiency has a positive relationship is of significance to the business sophistication, but in cross years no differences or are stagnant.
