Abstract

DEWI FITRIYANI. Effect of Student Perceptions About Parenting style Against Emotional Intelligence Skills Class XII Akuntnasi SMKN 8 Jakarta. Economic Education Studies Program, Concentration in Accounting Education, Department of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, in 2016. This study aims to determine the effect of Student Perceptions About Parenting style Against Emotional Intelligence Skills Class XII Akuntnasi SMKN 8 Jakarta based on data and facts are valid and reliable. The study was conducted in SMK Negeri 8 Jakarta.Metode used method survey. Populasi affordable in this study were students of class XII program accounting expertise totaling 104 students. Teknik sampling using proportional random sampling to obtain a sample of 83 students. To gather data from the two variables used research instrument shaped Likert scale for Parenting style (Variable X) and Emotional Intelligence (Variable Y) Regression equation in this research is Y = 97.550 + 0.72 X. From this equation test requirements analysis conducted by normality test error estimate the regression of Y on X obtained by Liliefors. Lcount<L table (0.0727 <0.0977. It mean the data are normally distributed. On the liniearity the regression test we got the result Fcount (-2,55) < F table (1.72) can be inferred that the regression model linear. As for the significance test of Fcount (11.73)> F table (3.96) which indicates the regression equation means. the result of the correlation coefficient using the product moment of Pearson obtained value rxy0356. this means there is a positive relationship between parenting style with emotional intelligence of students of class XII program accounting expertise SMK Negeri 8 Jakarta. While the measurement of the coefficient of correlation is done for all three indicators of parenting then the results for parenting democratic values rxy0,373 this means there is a positive relationship between parenting style with emotional intelligence of students of class XII program accounting expertise SMK Negeri 8 Jakarta. As for the authoritarian parenting values obtained rxy0,210 this means there is a positive relationship between parenting authoritarian parents with emotional intelligence of students of class XII program accounting expertise SMK Negeri 8 Jakarta. Further to permissive parenting values obtained r xy-090 this means there is a negative relationship between parenting style were permissive with the emotional intelligence of students of class XII program accounting expertise SMK Negeri 8 Jakarta. From t-test calculations obtained t = 3.42> table = 1.99 which indicates a significant relationship between the variables X that parenting style with a variable Y is emotional intelligence. As for the t-test performed on each indicator of the importance of parenting t = 3.62> table = 1.99 which indicates a significant relationship between the variables X that parenting style were democratic with a variable Y is emotional intelligence. Similarly, for the authoritarian parenting obtained t = 1.93> t table = 1.99 which showed no significant relationship between the variables X that authoritarian parenting style with a variable Y is intelligence emosional.Then to permissive parenting obtained t = -0.90> table = 1.99 indicating no significant relationship between the variables X that parenting style are permissive with variable Y of emotional intelligence. From the calculation of determination coefficient of 12.65%, so it can be said that the variable Y emotional intelligence is determined by the variable X parenting style amounted to 12.65%.
