Abstract

ABSTRACT SITI AISYIYAH. The Influence of Self Esteem and Locus of Control toward Job Performance on Employee at PT Tosama Abadi in Bogor. Skripsi, Jakarta: Concentrations of Educations Administration Office, Educational Studies Program in Economics, Department of Economic and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. 2011. This study aims to determine the influence Self Esteem and Locus of Control on Employee Job Performance. This research was conducted over three months from October to December 2011. The research method used is survey method through causality approach. The study population is an employee of PT Tosama Abadi. The sampling technique is simple random proportional technique (Proportional Random Sampling) as many as 95 samples. Instrument that used to get variable data X (Self Esteem) measured to use a Likert scale from questionnaire. Instrument that used to get variable data X 1 (locus of Control) measured to use instruments developed by Rotter called Rotter I-E Scale. For variable Y (Job Performance) use sekunder data from PT Tosama Abadi at Bogor. Data account which used is SPSS 19. From the result of F test, found that Self Esteem and Locus of Control simultaneously influence to Job Performance seen from F2 (47,137) > F table (3,095). Then partially, Self Esteem has t count (7,672) > t (1,661). That means that Self Esteem has a significant positive effect to Job Performance. Locus of Control has t count (-5,582) < t (-1,661). That means that Locus of Control has a significant negative effect to Job Performance. Beside that, the result of R 2 table equal to 0,506 which means that Self Esteem and Locus of Control can explained Job Performance equal 50,6% and 49,4% explained with another variable.
