Abstract

ABSTRACT THERESIA BELLA. The Difference Of Job Involvement Based On Gender At PT Marine Cargo Asia Employees. Thesis. Jakarta: Concentration in Office Administration Education, Study Program of Economics Education, Department Economic Administration, Faculty of Economic, State University of Jakarta, 2012. The purpose of this research is to get a valid and reliable data or fact to know more The Differences Of Job Involvement Based On Gender At PT Marine Cargo Asia Employees. The study was conducted approxiamately three months starting from October until December 2011. The research method is survey method with causal comparative approach. The population of this study are all employees of PT Marine Cargo Asia as many as 95 employees. Samples used by 75 employees consisting of 43 male employees and 32 female employees.This study used proportional random technique. Techniques of data analysis starts by looking for normality test by using liliefors formula, got biggest value L coun = 0.092, L for n = 43 with level signifikan 0,05 is 0,135. L count < L table for group X1table . And In normality test by using liliefors formula, got biggest value L coun = 0.067, L table for n = 32 with level signifikan 0,05 is 0,157 . L < L table for group X . Inferential thereby the data have normal distribution. In homogeneity test with formula F 2 obtained by F count = 1,06 and F (0,05;31/42) = 1,73, so that 1,06 < 1,73 (F count < Ft able table ). Inferential thereby that variansi group I and group II is homogeneous. The next step is hypothesis test.Hypothesis test is done with test distinctive average or Uji- t. This the difference analysed by Uji- t, and gotten by ratio price t as big as 8,835. Ratio price t as big as 1,98 on signifikasi's level 2,5% by dk (dk=73) is 1,98. Of count Uji-t therefore gets to be concluded that price t table are even greater from price t table (t count = 8,835 > t table = 1,98 count ) so signifikan's difference and zero hypothesis is refused. Based on the results mentioned above we can conclude that there are differences in job involvements of male and female employees.
