Abstract

STEPHANI CHINTYA DEBY. The Correlation of Learning Motivation on Student’s Learning Achievement of Bidikmisi Scholarship Students Majoring in Economic and Administration State University of Jakarta. State University of Jakarta. 2014. Motivation is one of the several things which determine the successful of the student learning activity. Without motivation, learning process is difficult to achieve optimum success. Motivation is something essential in the learning and education process. The aim of this research is to find the correlation of learning motivation on student’s learning achievement of Bidikmisi Scholarship Students majoring in Economic and Administration State University of Jakarta and to know the percentage of it. Population of this research was all the Bidikmisi scholarship students majoring in Economic and Administration from 2010 until 2012, the number were 167 students. A total of 45 students of Economic and Administration 2011 were used as a sample. Variables were learning motivation as independent variable and learning achievement as a dependent variable.The research method for learning motivation is using questionnaire and documentation for student’s learning achievement, then analyzed by linear regression technique. The hypothesis was tested for significant at 0.05 margin of error using t-test and analysis of variance (ANOVA). The result of this research showed there was a significant correlation between learning motivation toward learning achievement, with regression equality Y = 2,09 + 0,011X. From the data analysis, it was obtained Fhitung was 5,936 higher than Ftabel = 4,065. It means that hypothesis about there was a significant influence between learning motivation toward learning achievement was accepted. Meanwhile, determination coefisien for R2 was 0,11898 that showed that learning motivation can influence learning achievement for 11,90%. based on the result above, it is suggested for students to find and know what their motivation and use it to get an optimum achievement, for teachers and parents to give motivation for students so they can be motivated to study, for staff of development of bidikmisi scolarship to make some programs like seminar or social activities in improving learning achievement.
