Abstract
ABSTRACT WAHYU SHUBHAN. The Correlation Between Self Concept and Achievement Motivation With Stenografi Academic Achievement on Student Office Administration Program at SMKN 10 Jakarta. Scientific Paper, Jakarta: Concentration of Office Administration Study Program of Economics Education, Department Economics Administration, Faculty of Economic, State University of Jakarta, July 2012. The study aims to determine whether there is correlation between self concept and achievement motivation with academic achievement on Student Office Administration Program at SMKN 10 Jakarta and also to get a valid and reliable data or fact, to prove it. The research has been done for three months since April until June 2012. The method of this research is survey method with correlation approach. The population research was all students office administration program from SMKN 10 Jakarta as much as 229 students. And affordable population of this study is a class XI student of office administration program which amounts to 77 students. The sample used as many as 65 students by using proportional random sampling. Data variable Y (academic achievement) is a secondary data obtained from the average score test and mid test at the four semester school year 2011/2012. While the data variable X (self concept) obtained from result of instrument and was measured using a Likert scale. For data X1 (Achievement Motivation) obtained from result of instrument and was measured using a Likert scale. Afther that, tested the validity of construct through the validation process of calculating the correlation coefficient score points with a total score and reliability testing with Alpha Cronbach. The results of the reliability of the instrument variable X2 (self concept) of 0,960 and variable X (achievement motivation) 0,966. Techniques of data analysis using SPSS begins with finding the test requirements analysis test for normality using the Kolmogrov Smirnov method and obtained X 2 ,X and Y and residual is 0,200 which are all more than the 0,05 then the data are normally distributed. Linearity test can be seen from the output results Test of Linearity at 0,05 significance level. Linearity tets results X 2, (self concept) with Y (academic achievement) of 0,000 which is less than the 0,05, it can be concluded the data X 1 1 (self concept) with Y (academic achievement) has a linear relationship. Then the result of linearity test X (achievement motivation) with Y (academic achievement) of 0,001 which is less than the 0,05 it can be concluded that the data X 2 2 (achievement motivation) with Y (academic achievement) alsi has a relationship linearly. Then look for the classic assumptions test the multicollinearity and heteroskedastisitas. A good regression model requires the absence of multicollinearity and heteroskedastisitas. The results obtained are the Tolerance values of 0,922 which means more than 0,1 and the Variance Inflation Factor (VIF) 1,084 which means less than 10. Thus, it can be concluded that in the regression model didn’t occur multicollinearity. Then look for the heteroskedastisitas test with a Glejser test. A good regression model requires the absence of heteroskedastisitas problem. Significance value X (self concept) for 0,417 > 0,05 and the significance of X 2 1 (achievement motivation) for 0,438 > 0,05. Since the significance value of more than 0.05 then the regression model didn’t occur heteroskedastisitas. Regression equation obtained is Y = 28,757 + 0,212 X 1 + 0,186 X Test the hypothesis that the F test in ANOVA table produces F count (14,851) > F 2. Table (3,14) this means that X 1 (self concept) and X (achievement motivation) simultaneously affect the Y (academic achievement). T test produce t count of X 1 (self concept) is 3,289 and t count of X (achievement motivation) is 3,258 and t table is 1,67. Because t count more than t it can be cocluded that there is a positive correlation on the self concept with achievement motivation with a academic achievement. Then a coefficient of determination of test results obtained 32,4%, which means that variable Y (academic achievement) determined by X1 (self concept) and X (achievement motivation) simultaneously. The conclusion of the research have shown that there is a positive and 2 2 significance correlation between self concept with stenografi academic achievement, and achievement motivation with stenografi academic achievement, and then there is a positive and significance correlation between self concept and achievement motivation with stenografi academic achievement on Students Office Administration Program at SMKN 10 Jakarta.
