Abstract

ABSTRAC AIMMATUL KHOIRIYAH. The Influence of Self Concept and Self Regulated Learning toward The Student Academic Achievement of Economic subject in Student of Social Science at Pasar Rebo sub-District Senior High School, East Jakarta. Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. 2014. This research conclude to describe the self concept, self regulated learning, student academic achievement and examine the self concept on student academic achievement, independent learning on student academic achievement, and self concept and self regulated learning together on student academic achievement. This study was conducted over four months from the months from August to November 2014. This research used a survei method with causality approach and documentation. Observation of student was done throught observation activities and teachers interview. Data collection used the technique of documentation, interview and questioner. While the method of data analysis used multiple regression test, requirements test, hypothesis test and classic assumsion test. This research using 186 student in X grade as the sample. Before use, the instruments tested on the 30student. From the test results the reliability values are 0,813 to self concept and 0,776 to Self Regulated Learning, therefore, is very reliable research instruments to be used. The result of descriptive analysis shows that; (a) according to the self concept of students in the Pasar Rebo sub- Distric Senior High School included in negative self concept, (b) overall of the student’s independent learning included in good enough categories, and (c) the student’s academic achievements included in the low categories because the student’s academic achievement is under the KKM standarization that made by school. And then the equation of multiple regression is Y= -34,768+ 1,062 X1 + 0,178X2. This result of multiple regression test shows that self concept and self regulated learning have a posituve and significant influence on the student’s academic achievement.
