Abstract

ANDI ALEXANDER SITUMORANG. Correlation Between Conscientiousness With Procrastination On Accounting Students In SMK Negeri 13 Jakarta. Skripsi. Jakarta : Concentration in Economic Education, Study Program of Accounting Education, Department of Economic and Administration, Faculty of Economic, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. 2013. This research aims to obtain valid and reliable data on the Correlation Between Conscientiousness With Procrastination On Accounting Students In SMK Negeri 13 Jakarta. The study was conducted over three months from October to December 2012. The method used is the method of survey correlation approach. The population in this study is the Accounting Students at SMK Negeri 13 Jakarta. Inaccessibility population was Grade 11 Accounting at SMK Negeri 13 Jakarta totaling 108 students. Based on the sampling table of Isaac and Michael number of samples from a population with a sampling error of 5% is 78 students. Sampling technique in this research using proportional random sampling technique. To capture the data variable conscientiousness and variable procrastination, is used questionnaire shaped instrument, which is distributed to the students of Grade 11 Marketing Class, after it tested the validity browse through the validation process is the calculation of the correlation coefficient score points with the total score and reliability testing with Cronbach Alpha formula. Conscientiousness variable reliability results for 0891 and the results of variable reliability procrastination by 0963. The regression equation in this research is Ŷ = 172,40 – 0,60x. From the equation, the resulting test performed Liliefors Lo <Lt (0.1000 <0.1003), which means that the data were normally distributed. On the linearity The regression test we got the result Fh < Ft (0.97 < 1.71) which can be concluded that the regression model is linear. For regression significance test and the result is F h > F t (32.45 > 3.97) this proves that the regression mean. Correlation coefficient test results using the product moment values obtained r = -0,547. This means there is a negative correlation between conscientiousness with procrastination. From the test calculations obtained t hitung > t , yaitu 5.70 > 1.67 indicating a significant correlation between conscientiousness with procrastination. From the calculation of the coefficient of determination obtained 29.92% so it can be said that procrastination is determined by conscientiousness of 29.92%. The conclusion of this study is that there is a negative and significant relationship between conscientiousness with procrastination on accounting students in SMK Negeri 13 Jakarta.
