Abstract

Supervisor; Dr.Haryo Kuncoro, SE, M.Si. and Karuniana Dianta A Sebayang, ME In the structure of the economy, Jakarta is still dominated by the tertiary sector in terms of its role in the formation of the GDRP (gross domestic regional product) and in terms of employment. Although in some areas of Jakarta there are concentrations of economic activity in the primary and secondary sectors which have potential in the development of local industry. So therefore, the Jakarta regional government also needs to consider the development of the primary sector and the secondary. This study aimed to determine the contribution of labor based on the primary sector, secondary, and tertiary and also to determine the effect of primary sector GDRP, secondary, and tertiary employment in the DKI Jakarta period 1980-2011. The research method using the Ex Post Facto analysis methods of data analysis techniques Shift-Share and simple regression analysis. Calculation results of shift-share analysis shows the dominant contribution of the tertiary sector in employment. The regression analysis showed GDP secondary sector, and tertiary positive and significant effect on employment, while the primary sector is positive but not significant effect on employment.
