Abstract

DIAH JULIAWATI, The Relationship Between Self-Concept And Anxiety In Confront Undergraduate Thesis In Students Of Accounting Education , Faculty Of Economy, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. June 2013. This research aims to get empirical data and valid and reliable fact about whether there is any relationship between self-concept and anxiety in year 2008 and 2009 students of Accounting Education, Faculty of Economy, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Research method used observation method with correlation approach. Sampling method used proportionate stratified random sampling technique and used questionnaire to take information. Based on test conducted, the reliability was 0.95. This result showed that the instrument was valid and reliable. Linear regression model formula showed regression Ŷ = 363.58-0.94X. Analysis requirement test, which is galat regression prediction Y of X normality test with liliefors test showed L count = 0.049 with L = 0.1023 for n = 75 in level of significance 0.05. Because L count < L table. table Therefore, X and Y variable were normally distributed. In hypothesis testing, significance level and linear regression was tested using variance analysis table (ANAVA). Regression significance testing showed F count > F which was 19,59 > 3,98 in level of significance 0.05 which means that it is significant. Then, linear regression testing showed F count < F table table which was 0,75 < 1,69 which means that it is linear. Hypothesis testing result using product moment correlation coefficient showed r = -0.46. Significance test of product moment correlation was done using t-test and the result showed t count = 3.81 > t 1.67 and determination coefficient test showed that 21.16% anxiety variance (Y variable) was determined by self-concept (X variable). Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a negative relationship between self-concept and anxiety of year 2008 and 2009 students of Accounting table = Education in Faculty of Economy, Universitas Negeri Jakarta.
