Abstract
ABSTRACT Yuliarini Sukmawati. Correlation Between Self Efficacy and Self Esteem With Procrastination at SMK Darul Mukminin Jakarta. Scientific Paper, Jakarta : Study Program of Economic Education, Concentration of Office Administration Education, Economics and Administration Department, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, January 2012. This study aims to determine whether there is the influence between self efficacy and self regulated learning with achievement on student SMK Darul Mukminin Jakarta. The study was conducted from May to Juni 2011. The research method used is survey method with the correlational approach. The study population was all students of SMK Darul Mukminin Jakarta as much as 208 students, and affordable population of this study is a class XI student of Accounting and Administrative which amounts to 58 students. The sample used as many as 51 students by using proportional random sampling. Data variables X and Y in this research is primary data. Data variable X (Self Efficacy) instrument used was a replica of New General SelfEfficacy (NGSE) of researchers Gilad Chen, et.al., with internal consistency reliability of a = 0.86 and was measured using a Likert scale. Data variable X (Self Esteem) is a primary data ) instrument used was a replica of Romin W. Tafarodi and W.B. 2 Swann it called self liking and self competence scalerevised (SLCSR). For the data variable Y (Procrastination) questionnaireshaped instrument used. Prior to use, tested the validity of construct (Construct Validity) through the validation process of calculating the correlation coefficient score points with a total score and reliability testing with Alpha Cronbach. The results of the reliability of the instrument variable X (Self Esteem) of 0.876. Techniques of data analysis using SPSS 17.0 begins with finding the test requirements analysis test for normality using the Kolmogorov Smirnov method and obtained values of X 2 Y, and Residual is 0.200 which are all more than the 0.05 then the data are normally distributed. Linearity test can be seen from the output results Test of Linearity at 0.05 significance level. Linearity test results X (Self Efficacy) with Y (procrastination) of 0.000 which is less than the 0.05, it can be concluded the data X 11 (Self Efficacy) with Y (Procrastination) has a linear relationship. Then the results of linearity test X (Self Esteem) with Y (Procrastination) of 0.007 which is less than the 0.05, it can be concluded the data X 2 (Self Esteem) with Y (Procrastination) also has a relationship linearly. Then look for the classic assumptions test the multicollinearity test. A good regression model requires the absence of multicollinearity problems. The results obtained are the Tolerance 2 values of 0.925 which means more than 0.1 and the Variance Inflation Factor (VIF) 1.081, which means less than 10. Thus, it can be concluded that in the regression model didn’t occur multicollinearity. Then look for the heteroskedastisitas test with a Glejser test . A good regression model requires the absence of heterokedastisitas problem. Significance value of X (Self Efficacy) for 0.371>0.05 and the significance of X 21 (Self Esteem) for 0.207>0.05. Since the significance value of more than 0.05 then the regression model didn’t occur heterokedastisitas. Regression equation obtained is Y= 74,561 0,601 X 0,268 X 2. Test the hypothesis that the F test in ANOVA table produces F (12,042)> F table (3.19), this means that X 1 (Self Efficacy) and X (Self Esteem) simultaneously affect the Y (Procrastination). T test produce t count 2 of X (Self Efficacy) is 3,688 and t count of X 2 (Self Esteem) is 4.223 and t table. 1 is 2,106. Because t it can be concluded that there is a positive influence on the self efficacy with self esteem with procrastination. Then a coefficient of determination of test results obtained 33,4%, Procrastination (Y) determined by X Esteem). 1 count count (Self Efficacy) and X1> t table,2 (Self Esteem).
