Abstract
ABSTRACT WIDYA INDAHSARI. Correlation Between Job Involvement And Turnover Intention at Gramedia Matraman Bookstore , Central Jakarta. Script, Jakarta : Study Program of Economic, Consentration of Office Administration, Economics and Administration Department, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, 2014. The purpose of this research is to get a valid and reliable data or fact, to know the correlations between Job Involvement and Turnover Intention at Gramedia Matraman Bookstore, Central Jakarta. This research have been done for 2 months since May 2014 until June 2014. The method of this research is survey method with correlation approach, while the data is got from instrument to employees with total 76 employees, while the sampling were using simple random sampling. Correlating X variable data (Job Involvement) and Y variable (Turnover Intention), using likert scale, before that it has construct validity test by validation process, that is correlation coefficient valuing score with the total score and reliability test by using Alpha Cronbach formula. Reliability X variable (Job Involvement) is 0,912 and Y variable (Turnover Intention) is 0,958. The analysis test by finding regression equation, that is Y = 93,83 – 0,264X. after that, data normality test by using lilliefors formula and the result is L count = 0,0519 in significant level 0,05 and L = 0,112, L count < L means that the mistake of prediction regression Y to X has normal distribution. For regression significancy test and the result is, F count (15,74) > F table (4,00). Showing that, it has significant regression. While regression linearity test, F table Count (1,30) < F (2,42), showing that regression is linear. The result of product moment of correlation coefficient test, is r table = -0,456 continued by using correlations coefficient significance test with t test. Counting result is, -t count = (-3,97) <-t table (-1,68). And so, t count > t . It means that there are significant and negative correlations between Job Involvement and Turnover Intention. Beside that, the result of determination coefficient test is 20,78. It means that Turnover Intention variable determined by 20,78% Job Involvement variable. The conclusion of the research have shown that there is a negative correlation between ob Involvement and Turnover Intention at Gramedia Matraman Bookstore.
