Abstract
ABSTRACT ESRA FRANDIKA "Effect of Price Oranges Domestic and Import Price Of Oranges Citrus Import Demand in North Sumatra Period 2000-2010". Thesis. Economic Education Cooperative. Department of Economics and Administration. Faculty of Economics. State University of Jakarta. 2012. This research aims to analyze the effect of domestic price of citrus fruit (X1) and the price of imported citrus fruits (X2) to the number of requests citrus imports (Y) in North Sumatra. The data used in this study is a secondary data, the type of time series data in the quarterly period 2000-2010 obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Foreign Trade of the Republic of Indonesia. By using multiple regression analysis model using SPSS 20.0 software output indicates that the domestic price of citrus fruit (X1) and the price of imported citrus fruits (X2) affect the demand for imports of citrus fruit (Y) in North Sumatra. From the test results with respect to F significance value = 0.000 <0.05, it can be said together there is a significant effect. Then from the results of each t-test showed that the domestic price variable oranges (X1) significantly influence the demand for imported citrus (Y), seen from the significance value = 0.00 <0.05, and the variable price of imported citrus fruits (X2) have a significant influence number of requests citrus imports in North Sumatra, seen from the significance value = 0.04 <0.05. The coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.355 is obtained, having the understanding that the independent variables (price of domestic citrus fruit and citrus fruit import prices) are able to explain the dependent variable (request citrus imports) amounted to 35.5%, while the remaining 64.5 percent is explained by other variables that are not in the model with simultaneous correlation coefficient or the degree of closeness between the domestic price variable oranges (X1), the price of imported orange (X2) and the number of requests citrus imports in North Sumatra (Y) equal to 0.596 classified as moderate.
