Skripsi, Jakarta: Marketing Management Concentration, Management Study Program, Department of Management, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. Advisory: Dr. Mohamad Rizan, SE, MM & Agung Kresnamurti RP, ST, MM The purpose of this research are: 1) to know the description of purchase decision, perceived quality, and perceived risk of Epson printer users and Canon printer users, 2) to test the influence of perceived quality towards purchase decision of Epson printer users and Canon printer users, 3) to know the influence of perceived risk towards towards purchase decision of Epson printer users and Canon printer users, 4) to simultaneously test the influence of perceived quality and perceived risk toward purchase decision of Epson printer users and Canon printer users, 5) to know the difference between purchase decision of Epson printer users and Canon printer users. Object of this research consist of 100 people who have used both Epson and Canon printer. The descriptive test shows that Epson printer is better than Canon printer, although Top Brand Index data placed Canon on the first place for the past three years. The hypotheses test shows: 1) there is a significant influence from perceived quality towards purchase decision ((Epson: 32.1%; Canon: 34.4%). 2) there is a significant influence from perceived risk towards purchase decision (Epson: 4.9%; Canon: 24%). 3) Perceived quality and perceived risk simultaneously influence purchase decision (Epson: 35.8%; Canon: 38.5%. 4) there is a difference between purchase decision of Epson printer users and Canon printer users (3.703 > 1.984).
