Abstract
SITI HANDAYANI. Relationship Between Socioeconomic Conditions With Student Motivation Class XI Accounting Department 1 At SMK PGRI Jakarta. Thesis, New York: Economics Education Studies Program, Department of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. 2011. This study aimed to knowledge based on valid and reliable data (reliable) and to determine whether there is a relationship between socio-economic conditions with the motivation to study for class XI of accounting majors at SMK PGRI 1 Jakarta. The study was conducted over three months from July 2011 to October 2011. The research method used is survey method with the correlational approach, with a sampling technique that is simple random technique. The study population was all students in SMK PGRI 1 Jakarta. Inaccessibility of the student population of class XI consisting of three classes of 95 students. Samples taken from a 5% error rate based on the table Issac inaccessibility of the population, as many as 75 students. Socio-Economic Condition Data (Variable X) using secondary data obtained documentation from the parent school books, and for Student Motivation (Variable Y) using the primary data in the form of questionnaires. Test requirements analysis carried out is by finding significant level by using the Transformation of Gamma (G). Transformation of Gamma (G) yields G = 0.2867. With a 0.05 significance level Ztabel 1.645. This means there is no significant relationship between variables X and Y. Students' motivation is not only determined by the socio-economic conditions. Conclusion This study found no positive relationship between socio-economic conditions with the motivation to study for class XI Accounting Department at SMK PGRI 1 Jakarta.
